Jeff Horwitz to be portrayed in major new film

OPC Foundation Scholar 2019 Jeff Horwitz will be portrayed by Jeremy Allen White in The Social Reckoning, Aaron Sorkin's upcoming film inspired by the landmark Facebook Files investigation.

While at The Wall Street Journal, Horwitz led the reporting on The Facebook Files, a groundbreaking 2021 series that revealed Meta's own research showing its platforms could harm young users and fuel misinformation. The investigation exposed how company leaders were aware of many of these issues but failed to take meaningful action, sparking worldwide scrutiny of social media's influence.

Horwitz recently joined Reuters as a Tech Investigations Reporter based in San Francisco. His work has earned numerous honors, including a George Polk Award and two GeraLoeb Awards.
